The Problem

Forklift-pedestrian collisions are among the most common workplace injuries in warehouses, leading to deaths and serious injuries. Blind spots and operator visibility limitations make detection impossible.

  • Forklift-pedestrian collisions — Thousands of workplace injuries occur annually due to material handling equipment striking pedestrians in industrial facilities. Fatal incidents are preventable with active detection.
  • Blind spots and limited operator visibility — Operators cannot see pedestrians around corners, in narrow aisles, or behind stacked materials. Multi-ton loads moving at speed leave no margin for error.
  • Passive systems insufficient — Mirrors, beepers, and lights alone cannot provide active detection and real-time pedestrian tracking. Visual and audio cues alone fail when attention lapses.
  • No active pedestrian tracking — Without active detection, there is no way to know where pedestrians are relative to moving equipment in real-time. Management cannot monitor compliance.

How It Works

01

Pedestrian Tags

Pedestrians wear battery-powered UWB transmitter tags (wrist watch, neck ID, or helmet mount) for continuous tracking.

02

Real-Time Detection

Equipment receiver nodes constantly detect and range pedestrians up to 30 meters away with sub-meter accuracy.

03

Alert or Control

MPAS triggers audio/visual alerts when pedestrians enter proximity zones; MPCS adds automatic braking and speed reduction.

04

Continuous Tracking

Data Processing Unit monitors pedestrian distance and proximity in real-time. All events logged for compliance and safety audit.

Key Features

360° Coverage

Four receiver nodes provide complete omnidirectional pedestrian detection around equipment.

Tag-Based Localization

Lightweight wearable tags provide precise pedestrian position identification and tracking.

MPAS & MPCS Models

Choose alert-only (MPAS) or control with auto-braking (MPCS) based on safety requirements.

0.2-30m Range

Detects pedestrians from near-field to 30 meters for ample warning time and safe braking distances.

Auto-Brake Capable (MPCS)

Automatic braking and low-speed mode triggered when pedestrians enter critical zones.

Charging Station

Included charging infrastructure for tag batteries with quick turnaround between shifts.
